|Job Description :||J2255 - Our client is seeking a Head of European Vendor Development to drive and grow Vendor business in order to deliver agreed commercial objectives within Europe. You will oversee the continued development of existing vendor programs and identify opportunities to work with new vendors to promote expansion into Europe and offer tailor made solutions to both vendors and their end customers including leasing and vendor finance programs. You will ideally be located in UK but the following may also be considered (France, Germany, Italy, Nordics, Switzerland, Netherlands). Salary: Excellent Salary, Bonus and Benefits.
Commercial Strategy development & deployment:
Negotiate and establish the annual strategic & commercial business plan.
Set the local vendor objectives together with the country teams.
Manage and achieve the goals of the annual business plan.
Analyse monthly results based upon internal reporting and communication with vendor.
Control margin / income and risk performance, and other KPI’s.
Propose corrective actions and monitor execution if required.
Support the local sales force allocated to the vendor on specific transactions.
Directly structure and / or support complex and or international transactions.
Rollout & implement new products; assist vendor partner in marketing, training and promotions.
Develop joint sales programs that match partner need.
Develop and implement innovation solutions that meet partner needs.
Maintain a proactive business relationship with the key senior and executive managers of program partners and, if appropriate key dealers.
Maintain and communicate interpretation of Program Agreements internally and externally.
Manage and/or assist in Program Agreement updates and or changes.
Establish and/or manage pricing policies in line with program parameters.
Educated to degree level.
Hard Asset experience preferable.
Fluent in English as a business language is essential (both written and verbal), a second European Language would be distinctly advantageous.
Significant experience in Asset finance - sales financing and vendor financing.
Able to demonstrate experience and track record of dealing with vendors and customers on a long term relationship basis.
Understanding of vendor finance programs and 3rd party risk sharing structures is essential for this role
Ability to confidently deliver presentations at board level as well as understand and discuss customer financials as part of the credit review process.
Have demonstrable commercial awareness.
