Our client are seeking to hire a Sales Director responsible for devising the sales strategy and ensuring that sales performance meets the required objectives of their dealer lead business unit. In addition to this the job holder is required to consider new business channels together with ensuring that the sales teams work at optimum efficiency.
To ensure that the company’s vision and values are upheld when dealing with staff/customers and third parties
Setting the sales strategy
Ensuring optimum sales productivity and take personal responsibility for major accounts
Ensuring the sales teams receive appropriate training in order to effectively carry out their tasks
Ensuring the sales teams are kept at optimum headcount
Constantly analyse the marketplace and identify potential new opportunities
Ensure that Sales and Operations and Sales and Credit work together in achieving the company’s objectives
Be an active member of the Senior Management team with the responsibilities that may entail
Ensuring that the sales teams operate in a professional manner and with due regard to the compliance requirements of the organisation
Working with Marketing and Communications to generate an efficient and effective customer survey process that tests satisfaction levels
Networking in the industry to keep both personal and company profile at the highest levels of professionalism and integrity
Keeping abreast of regulatory and legislative changes and ensuring maximum benefit is derived from those changes
Continually develop the sales MI suite to monitor profitability of business sources
A minimum of 10 years industry experience of at least 5 years which should have been in a senior sales management role
Applicants with experience of dealer driven asset finance across either hard or soft asset classes are of particular interest.
Working knowledge of legal and tax implications of product set
Substantial industry and market knowledge
Ability to work effectively as part of a senior management team.
Ability to interpret data to enable the sales function to work effectively
Substantial sales management and sales ability.

The demands of the job will mean that applicants need to be flexible and tolerant to working , at times , unsociable hours.
Salary range to £130,000 , on target earnings £200,000 , plus generous cash car allowance and benefits.
